Flowers for Algernon Pre-Order Details

Flowers for Algernon Pre-Order Details

Our letterpress-printed, limited edition of Daniel Keyes’s classic Flowers for Algernon was handed over to Hand and Eye Letterpress at the start of the month and Jacob Dhein has completed all the artwork.

Originally published as a Hugo Award-winning short story and later expanded into a Nebula Award-winning novel, it explores themes of identity, intelligence, friendship, and the ethics of scientific experimentation. Daniel Keyes’ most successful novel asks whether intelligence and knowledge are always beneficial, and what the consequences might be when someone gains knowledge that is beyond their ability to understand or control.

Availability

On Monday, November 20th at 10am ET, we will unveil our edition in three states - Standard, Deluxe, and Lettered. All copies are signed by artist Jacob Dhein.

On Wednesday, November 22nd at 10am ET, pre-orders will open with Standard copies being available immediately. Additionally, rights holders of Faun Deluxe #1-150 and any Lettered copy will have access to a private 48-hour window starting at the same time to pre-order a matching number/letter.

Two days later, on Friday November 24th at 12pm ET, the following will be available to the public:

  • Unclaimed Deluxe copies between #1-150 (which have rights) and copies which do not have rights associated with them. If any copies from #1-150 are available, they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis as Deluxe copies are ordered on the website.
  • A link to a lottery to pre-order unclaimed Lettered copies, if any remain.

We are unable to accept PayPal as a payment method due to potential delays in funds being released, a situation that has been known to last for months.

Instalment plans will also be available during the checkout process through the third party Partial.ly. There is a section on the FAQ page that provides details on how Partial.ly works.
