We’re just catching up now after spending a great deal of time on our Perdido Street Station launch over the past few weeks and we have some shipping to do (see more below) so we’ll keep this brief.

In our full Perdido Street Station announcement we dived into the interior layout and typography. Here we’d like to share our approach to the artwork, and show how some of Jana Heidersdorf’s pieces developed from sketch to finished illustration.

We’re immensely pleased to announce Jana Heidersdorf as the illustrator for our upcoming limited edition of China Miéville’s Perdido Street Station. An “artist and illustrator of everything hauntingly beautiful,” she was the perfect choice to render New Crobuzon in all its gritty, grotesque, gaslit glory.

Danielle and I are happy to announce that we’re partnering with Wilfrid Laurier University on their internship program. WLU is right here in our community, and this partnership—alongside our Bound for Good program—is another way we’re contributing close to home.
