The last few weeks have flown by so we’re a little late on this update, but it’s still June!

We’re just catching up now after spending a great deal of time on our Perdido Street Station launch over the past few weeks and we have some shipping to do (see more below) so we’ll keep this brief.

China Miéville’s Perdido Street Station

Our edition of Perdido Street Station has been a resounding success and we’re so thankful to everyone who pre-ordered a copy.

The lottery for the three remaining Lettered Editions already has the most entries we’ve had for any title before.

Almost every collector with Deluxe publisher’s rights pre-ordered a matching number, another record, and all remaining copies were reserved in less than a minute. 

And finally, the Collector’s Edition continues to do extremely well. This is only the second time we’ll be making up to 600 copies available for a Collector’s edition, with Tigana being the first. Typically we offer 400 copies, and we’re well on our way to that number, but we’ll be making a decision on a final limitation in the coming weeks. 

We’ve had a number of people ask about The Scar. And while we don’t have any plans for it at the moment, I enjoyed it a great deal and it’s not ruled out.

Upcoming Short Stops

We’ll have a new Short Stops book ready towards the end of July. The artwork in this one is really special—a combination of watercolours and sewn beads which were scanned and photographed. Looking forward to sharing more soon. 

Dinged Sale and Books in Sheets

After shipping the Collector’s Edition of Cold Print & Others we’ll be organizing the workshop again and putting up some dinged books for sale along with the Rip Van Winkle sheets. This will happen on Tuesday July 14th at 10am ET.

Ramsey Campbell’s Weird. Volume 2: Cold Print & Others

Copies of the Collector’s Edition Ramsey Campbell’s Cold Print & Others, the second volume in our Weird. series, are now in stock and shipping. We’ll begin fulfilling orders here in Canada today and into next week, and the bindery in England will begin next week. Again, to everyone who pre-ordered a copy, thank you for your patience.

Extra copies are still at the bindery, so if you’re in Europe, this is your last chance to place an order with reduced shipping costs. After fulfilling current European orders next week, they’ll be packing up remaining copies and sending them to us here in Canada.

The Deluxe Edition and Lettered Edition are not far behind, and we’ll have another update on them soon.

Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana

Another title which has seen significant progress is Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana. We’re thrilled to report that all 600+ two volume sets have now been bound by Gomer Press. They’re now headed over to Ludlow Bookbinders to have the custom slipcases made and are still on track for September or October.

After we get through the first wave of shipping Collector’s Editions we will have some copies available. We will announce when these are going to be made available in the newsletter closer to that time.

Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas

In the midst of all the Perdido Street Station excitement, the final remaining copies of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas Collector’s Edition were all reserved, so this edition is now sold out! It’s now being worked on at the bindery alongside the final pieces of the Deluxe and Lettered Cold Print & Others. 

Other Production Updates

That’s it for now. The other status for the other books currently in production remain unchanged from our last update in May.
