March 2026 Gyaff
We’re a little ahead of the game here with our March update, but here goes.
Our February Book Is Now Our March Book
Our February book (teaser picture above) has now become our March book but for good reason—this will be our first multi-state edition that will begin shipping immediately, no pre-orders!
Most of the Deluxe copies were just picked up a few minutes ago and are now on the way to us here in Canada.
For our European collectors who have rights from their Sea of Tranquility pre-order: matching numbered copies remain in the UK so that if you choose to pick up a copy it will be shipped immediately from Ludlow Bookbinders. A handful of additional copies, beyond those for rights-holders, will also be available for shipping from the UK for European collectors.
As always, Lettered copies will ship directly from Ludlow Bookbinders in the UK.
Pre-order Order Times
We’re expecting the books to arrive towards the end of next week, so here’s the release schedule:
- Monday March 9th at 10am ET: Email sent to collectors who have Deluxe rights (numbered #1-200) and Lettered rights (all Lettered Editions) from Sea of Tranquility with a private link to pre-order a matching copy of the new book.
- Thursday March 12th at 12pm ET: Unclaimed Deluxe copies between #1-200, Deluxe copies #201-250, and any unclaimed Lettered Editions available to the public.
Any available Deluxe copies between #1-200 will be assigned first based on order time. These copies, along with all Lettered copies, will come with rights to our next release—China Mieville’s Perdido Street Station, which we expect to be available for pre-order in June.
Individual Title Updates
Weird. Volume 2: Ramsey Campbell’s Cold Print & Others
Cold Print & Others is coming along well at the bindery and we’re still expecting shipping to start in April.
Jule’s Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas

As I mentioned last month, printing is complete for Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and both the Munken Pure Rough Cream for the Collector’s Edition and the Deluxe/Lettered Edition on the Fedrigoni Acquerello look lovely. This one is in the queue at the bindery. Shipping is expected in May 2026.
Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana
Gomer Press has just completed the printing of Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana. A set of book blocks for both the Collector’s Edition (Fedrigoni Arena Rough paper) and Deluxe Lettered Edition (Fedrigoni Acquerello paper) are being sent to us for approval.

Once we approve these, they will begin casing in the Collector’s Edition and the Deluxe and Lettered blocks will be sent to Ludlow for binding.

Shipping is expected around May 2026.
Isaac Asimov’s Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation
Foundation and Empire is on the press at Hand & Eye, a little earlier than planned. Last week Greg Manchess sent sketches for Second Foundation and we just agreed on a shortlist, so he will start painting soon.
We have a handful of Lettered copies of Foundation and Empire available now that the private pre-order period is over, and we’ll be making them available soon.
Shipping for Foundation and Empire is still expected in August 2026.
Emily St. John Mandel’s Sea of Tranquility
Sea of Tranquility is more than halfway done at Nomad Letterpress—all the text has been printed and a subset of the sheets are in queue for the second blue colour. Pat expects everything to be completed by the end of March and shipping is expected in November 2026.
Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash

I'm working on the interior layout for the upcoming edition of Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash, which we’re co-publishing with Subterranean Press. All of the artwork is completed and the limitation pages are making the rounds now.
Michael Moorcock’s The Chronicles of Elric
Artwork is progressing really well on our six-book The Chronicles of Elric series. In fact, Julien Delval has completed all of the artwork for the third book and it is already approved by Mike!
Marc Simonetti has started on book six and Vance Kovacs will be starting soon on book two. Another artist, who we haven’t announced before, has started on book one, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have him join an already amazing lineup.
We also have an order in for the handmade paper that will be used for the Lettered Edition. As I mentioned before, we’re investing a great deal of time and resources into having production further along when books go up for pre-orders, and paper and artwork are huge parts of that.
Lord Dunsany’s The King of Elfland’s Daughter
Annie Stegg Gerard has revealed some more work from our upcoming edition of Lord Dunsany’s The King of Elfland’s Daughter, which you can see on her Instagram. We already have ideas for the bindings in mind and will be working towards those later this year. Also, handmade paper for the Lettered of this one as well!
Cormac McCarthy’s The Road
The illustrator and I spent January working together to decide on which scenes will be included in our edition of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. Sketches are mostly completed and once finalized will be sent off for approval.
Our order with the Velké Losiny paper mill for the custom, watermarked handmade paper for the Lettered and Roman Numeral is in the queue.
I chatted with Kate Holland, who’s designing and binding the Roman Numeral Edition, at CODEX a few weeks ago, and we’re playing around with ideas of our own for the other three states.
Josiah Bancroft’s The Everyman’s Guide to the Tower of Babel
Having completed the artwork for his Elric book, Julien has some other work to catch up on before starting on Josiah Bancroft’s The Everyman’s Guide to the Tower of Babel. We still expect this one to be ready this year.
Stephen King’s The Jaunt
Earlier this week we announced a letterpress-printed, limited edition of Sai King’s The Jaunt. We’re thrilled to be working on this and expect it to be ready next year.
qntm’s There Is No Antimemetics Division
Wow, it looks like we weren’t the only ones that really enjoyed qntm’s There Is No Antimemetics Division, judging by the waitlist. Thank you to everyone who took the time to express their interest. We’re excited to get started on this.
That’s it for now, thanks for reading if you made it all the way down here, and for your support which makes this all possible.
Best wishes,
Tony and Danielle
