Weird. Volume 2: Ramsey Campbell

I’m thrilled to reveal the second volume in Weird., our ongoing series collecting the very best weird fiction, features the haunting work of British author Ramsey Campbell. Described by series editor S.T. Joshi as “one of the most accomplished authors of our time,” Campbell has won numerous accolades over his long career, including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Horror Writers Association, the Living Legend Award of the International Horror Guild, and the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award.

While we’re excited to share more, we need a bit more time to get where we need to be. So here are the news dates for Ramsey Campbell’s Weird. Volume 2:

• Monday June 9th: full reveal.
• Wednesday June 11th at 10am ET: pre-orders for rights-holders.
• Friday June 13th at 10am ET: public pre-orders.

Each volume in our Weird. series features original artwork inspired by the allegorical emblems of the Renaissance, whose rich symbolism and moody atmosphere perfectly echo the tone of the series. Every intricately detailed piece is carefully conceived to reflect scenes and themes from the stories in its respective volume.

Sveta Dorosheva, who will be contributing the emblematic artwork for all remaining titles in the series, has created this piece for Ramsey Campbell’s volume:

Sveta’s intricate black-and-white composition draws heavily on the grotesque, the allegorical, and the uncanny. It contains visual echoes of all of the twelve stories in the collection. Eight of them are featured more prominently than the others.
