April Gyaff

April Gyaff

This gyaff contains four parts: Trade War (again), Upcoming Books, Production Update, and 2025/2026 Schedule.

Trade War

We left off our last email allowing ourselves some time for things to settle down. Although they’ve done everything but that, and the negative impacts of the ever-expanding trade war continue to be felt around the world, we’re relieved to see that books are exempt at this time.

Upcoming Books

Restocks and Dinged Sale

The following titles will be available on Tuesday April 15th at 10am ET on the pages linked below:

  • J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan Standard - this is the final restock of Peter Pan. After these copies are gone it will be out of print.
  • Joe Hill’s Faun Standard - We’re down to the last 40 or so copies, with 25 bound and in stock. When these are exhausted we’ll have the final batch bound.
  • Ken Liu’s The Paper Menagerie (dinged) - as mentioned before, these all had small amounts of glue spill on to the top of the book block near the spine during binding, causing tiny tears.
  • Ray Bradbury’s There Will Come Soft Rains (dinged) - just a handful.
  • R.L. Stevenson’s Treasure Island Deluxe Edition (dinged) - just a handful.

Third Short Stops

The third Short Stops title will become available at 10am on Tuesday May 6th to collectors who pre-ordered Deluxe copies of Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas numbered #1-150 and all Lettered copies. An email will be sent with a private link to order and copies will begin shipping immediately.

Remaining copies will become available to the public at 10am on Thursday May 8th.

Weird Volume 2

The second volume in Weird., our ongoing series of weird fiction edited by S.T. Joshi, will be revealed on Monday May 26th. Copies will be available for pre-order at 10 a.m. on Wednesday May 28th, to collectors who pre-ordered any copy of Weird Volume 1 - The House on the Borderland & Others (Note: this has been corrected, it originally referred to Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas. Apologies.). Additional details will be provided in May.

Production Update

William Hope Hodgson’s The House on the Borderland & Others

All copies of the Collector’s Edition of The House on the Borderland & Others have shipped, along with most of the Deluxe Edition. The final few copies will be out tomorrow. The Lettered Edition will begin shipping just after Easter.

Isaac Asimov’s Foundation

Foundation is on the press, thank you for your patience. I’ll have an updated delivery date once production is farther along.

Stanisław Lem’s Solaris

Solaris binding is progressing well at Ludlow Bookbinders, and we're on track for June delivery.

Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas

We’re still going through final pre-production on Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and are on track for Q4 2025.

Weird. Volume 2

WIP preview of Sveta Dorosheva’s emblematic artwork for Weird. Volume 2.

Printing will wrap up by the end of next week, with sheets heading to Ludlow Bookbinders shortly after for binding. As mentioned before, we've been working hard to shorten the time between pre-orders and delivery. While this will take time to achieve across all titles and will always vary a bit from title to title, I'm very happy to see it happening with this one.

2025/2026 Schedule

For the foreseeable future, we have five multi-state editions planned for each year, not including any potential co-published editions. Here is the schedule for 2025 and 2026, though things are always subject to change.

2025 Schedule

Here is the schedule for the remainder of 2025, listed in order and with approximate timing, though both of those are subject to change.

  • May: Weird. Volume 2
  • July: Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana
  • September: Isaac Asimov’s Foundation and Empire
  • November: Emily St. John Mandel’s Sea of Tranquility

2026 Schedule

For 2026, the following titles are planned, not in this order, and the exact time to be confirmed:

  • Weird. Volume 3
  • Isaac Asimov’s Second Foundation
  • China Miéville’s Perdido Street Station
  • Octavia Buter’s Kindred
  • Unannounced title
  • + Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash co-published with Subterranean Press

Titles in our Short Stops series will continue to be announced and made available once they are finished and in our workshop, so there is no fixed schedule for these.

Note, all of this information is now on a new Schedule page.

As always, thank you for your enthusiasm and support.
