Our signed, limited edition of Faun by Joe Hill is published in four states: Standard, Deluxe, Lettered and Roman Numeral.

Every copy is signed by Joe Hill and Francois Vaillancourt

In Faun, Joe Hill displays his mastery of the short form in a dark fantasy novella about a group of wealthy hunters whose members seek the thrill of hunting exotic animals.

During an expedition, one of the hunters mentions the existence of an even more exclusive hunting area, accessed through a little door in Maine. To see what lies on the other side, just speak with the ominous-sounding Mr. Charn. Oh, and bring your checkbook.

The story raises questions about the ethics of hunting, the repercussions of exploiting the natural world, and the consequences of human greed, masterfully interwoven in a tale that highlights Hill’s boundless imagination and leaves us wanting for more.

Joe Hill is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Fireman, Heart-Shaped Box, and Strange Weather. He is also the co-creator of the Eisner Award-winning comic Locke & Key.

Beautiful book; great short story

As always such a wonderful production; a pleasure to read for the quality of the book as well as the story!

This is the first CTP multi state edition to get in my hands and I'm very impressed. I hadn't read the story itself previously and clearly Tony has taste you can trust and I thoroughly "enjoyed" this fairly harrowing and disturbing short story.

With respect to the production I love the paper selections for the binding especially the somewhat alarmingly named Elephant Hide paper on the spine. The endpapers are also very apropos with the coltskin embossing. The artwork of course was fantastic and I really appreciated the placement of the images. A lot of illustrated books put art a couple of pages before the scene plays out in the text.

I was quite surprised to find a divider made of what might be some kind of handmade paper separating part I and part II of the story. This wasn't anywhere on the spec sheet that I could see so it was a pleasant discovery.

Gorgeous!

The story is phenomenal, of course, but the illustrations really add to the atmosphere. The spine of the book is unique. So glad to have this little volume.

Better than Fabulous

I decided I must buy Faun after seeing the video online. I was prepared for it to be a nice book. I was not expecting it to be as beautiful as it is in person! I feel like Tony just does an incredible job, and I am lucky to own some of the books he has made. I am grateful that he makes the Collectors Edition, which is a price point I can afford and a book I will treasure forever.

Magnificent

It´s my first book from CTP an it´s really a work of art. The interior design (I really like the copper Paiper in the middel of the story), the craftsmanship, the art and the story all are really masterfully executed.

So happy

This book is of amazing quality. If you’re on the fence like I was about spending this much money on a book, it is worth it. Without question.

Splendid.

This was my first CTP book and it won't be my last (actually, it hasn't!) The small touches, from the printing quality, the binding, the copper Lokta paper (which needs to be seen to be appreciated) and of course the absolute beauty of Francois Vaillancourt's artwork (in my humble opinion some of his best work is right here) is proof that many skilled people can collaborate and create something that is a joy to hold, read and to display.

Gorgeous Book

It's clear that a great deal of thought and care went into producing this book. Even the slipcase is a delight to hold; I hadn't known that could be true. Every choice, from binding materials, to artist, and beyond, is in service to this brief but haunting story.

Conversation Tree Press's first published book confirms what many of us had suspected: this is the hottest party in town.
